Christie’s latest fine wine auction held over the weekend of the 31st August and 1st September 2013 attracted international buyers and healthy demand.  The sale featured wines from a single collector purchased over many years.

Wines included rare magnums from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti and Henri Jayer’s fabled Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux.  Bordeaux was also represented and a 12 bottle lot of Petrus 1989 sold for HKD 317,000, HKD 37,000 above its estimate.

Overall, Christie’s reported that buyers from 14 countries participated in the sale which went 96% sold by lot and 97% by value.
